If a band you want to see is playing at the Drake, then there’s no beating it. About the only thing going against it is that the stage is barely elevated, so when its packed there are visibility problems for shorter people that aren’t up front. But on the flip side, with limited capacity it insures an intimate, up-close experience. And as an added bonus, they have house-made Old Fashion’s on tap. One issue that’s not of the Drakes making is that being located in Downtown Amherst, parking can be an issue, especially if its a night that all the college students are out hitting the bars early.
